The BBC's modern take on Jim'll Fix It followed that make-a-wish cult show onto the set of Doctor Who recently, with a special sketch for a fan who always wnated to be in the SF series.

Viewers were treated to a special Doctor Who scene shot for the BBC programme that features John Barrowman as Captain Jack with a special appearance by David Tennant.

Fan Tim Ingham won a BBC-organised competition to appear in a scene in the TARDIS. The scene was written by Russell T Davies.

Back in March, viewers over 18 were invited to submit an application featuring a photograph of them in their home-made alien costume, along with information about their alien, such as where it's from and its characteristics. 

A group of 50 applicants were selected to meet a panel including John Barrowman and Doctor Who casting director, Andy Pryor. From these 50, 10 were carried through to a final elimination, with Tim winning the chance to appear in the show.
